I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science at Colgate University. During the 2022-2023 academic year, I was a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Boston University, where I previously worked as a Senior Teaching Fellow and got my M.A. (2018) and Ph.D. (2022) degrees. Prior to my work in Boston, I was at Koç University in Istanbul, where I earned dual B.A. degrees (2015) in Economics and International Relations.

Vitae

I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science at Colgate University. I work in the fields of Comparative Politics, Political Sociology, and International Relations.

I primarily study political culture and institutions, and also have a background in political economy.

I obtained my Ph.D. from Boston University in 2022 with a monograph focusing on the populism - national identity/nationalism relationship. My other areas of specialization include democratization and autocratization, party politics, counter-culture and social movements.
